◊ The Introduction to TTouch for Dogs workshop on July 4th 2009 is cancelled due to a number of last minute cancellations. My apologies for any inconvenience caused. Those booked on the course will be given priority on the workshop on the 25th July which will become an introductory workshop with a focus on addressing the specific issues of interest to participants (including noise sensitivity - the original emphasis of this one). TTouch is a gentle and effective approach to working with animals that strengthens their self-confidence, self-awareness, mental and physical balance. It is a holistic training method that increases their ability to learn and helps to change negative behaviour patterns. It can be used with all kinds of animal and can help with problems of anxiety, stress, aggression, noise sensitivity and more. It is also an excellent way of introducing animals to being handled and of improving physical comfort and well-being for older animals.
TTouch for Tailwaggers is the TTouch branch of The Tailwagger Club based in Leeds and Harrogate and is run by Janet Finlay, TTouch Companion Animal Practitioner Level 2 and Member of the UK Association of Pet Dog Trainers (MAPDT 01046). We run regular TTouch workshops and offer one-to-one consultations across the Yorkshire region and the North of England. TTouch for Tailwaggers specialises in working with dogs, combining TTouch with reward-based training techniques, to provide a programme tailored to each individual. However, Janet also has experience with cats, rabbits and other small mammals, birds and reptiles and is qualified to work with any companion animals.
