Dash the Tortoise having Turtle TTouch!
Ferdy was anxious about leaving his owner's side. A Tshirt gave him much more confidence and enabled him to start working away from her.
Working with rescued owls is always a highlight at Tilley Farm!
Orsa, the Maremma, enjoying bodywork, which improved her coordination and balance and contributed to her successfully gaining her champion title.
One of the more unusual animals I worked with at Tilley Farm was this adolescent skunk! He was rather aggressive but after TTouch was happier to be handled.
Fresca is 4 weeks old in this picture and is already finding TTouch relaxing. TTouch is an excellent way to introduce puppies to being handled.
This parrot was plucking his own feathers. We used feathers to do touches on him.
My own Maremma, Grace, finds her Tshirt comforting especially around bonfire night.
Possibly one of my scariest TTouch moments (I needed someone doing TTouch on me off camera to get this close!). Soft brushes are excellent for doing TTouch on smaller creatures.
Leading through the confidence course at the Maremma Sheepdog Club of Great Britain workshop
This Python was rather aggressive so wands with different surfaces were used to allow touch at a distance.
Ralf, the Gordon Setter, wearing a simple figure of eight wrap to help with his anxiety.
Kiwi was a 7 year old budgie who didn't like to be handled or have hands near his cage. TTouch with long feathers relaxed him and we were gradually able to move closer, eventually touching him with the hand.
Tallulah, the Hungarian Viszla, was afraid of fireworks but TTouch helped to improve her tolerance.
A Macaw at Tilley Farm
Jess, the Working Sheepdog, was very reactive to traffic. Using a Tshirt to help her confidence we were able to work with her in homing pigeon on a confidence course 30 feet from a road. Gradually the distance would be reduced but this type of problem does take time and patience.
